9/18/2010 - New tune and more power
My fuel pumps were maxing out at 5900 rpms so after installing a Kenne Bell Boost-a-pump the fuel tables were off so I setup another dyno session at L&M. The car is running great, made more power taking it up to 6500. It made 462 rwhp 405 rwtq Mike seemed confident that we could hit 470-480 if he played with the timing. Overall I'm happy with it, I told him just to leave the timing alone I'm perfectly happy with it as is no need to push the envelope for a few extra hp. I still have an 8 rib setup and a smaller pulley if I get bored.

Here's a video I took with my iPhone:

9/16/2010 - SLP Brake control
I'll be isntalling an SLP brake control next couple days. Getting ready to get to the track again so I'm going to L&M this weekend to check up on the tune since after I installed the BAP the fuel tables are off. Hopefully everything goes to plan and I can get some decent runs in this time then put it away for the winter haha.

7/18/2010 - Stang lowered
Though I would take some pictures of the new ride height since I removed the isolaters. I'm happy with the result it's not too low and it's still comfortable.

7/01/2010 - Overhaul
Since I decided to drop the K-Member I decided to try and track down a vibration I've been getting around 55mph in the steering wheel. While everything is apart I'm going to replace the ball joints, outer tie rods, sway bar bushings, end links/bushings and rack bushings. I also decided to try and drop the car a little more by removing the stock isolaters and replace it with a bicycle inner tube.

6/27/2010 - Uh-oh!
Well it seems I made a big mistake when assembling my motor, I purchased an MMR oil pump which is basically a HO cobra pump. You need a cobra pickup because the MMR oil pump has a larger diameter input than the stock GT pump, I by mistake used a stock GT pickup. This could of caused an improper seal essentially causing an oil leak where the pickup meets the oil pump, luckily I've monitored my oil pressure very closely because of how paranoid I am and never saw any indication of bad pressure (I have an aftermarket oil pressure gauge). Well because I need things to be perfect I decided to pull the oil pan and install the correct pickup. This process is not easy as it requires you to either lift the engine or drop the K-Member so I decided to drop the K-Member.

6/10/2010 - New clutch
Had some time to install my new clutch today, I went with a Ram powergrip. I also had my flywheel resurfaced at L&M Engines as well. I got my transmission back from Hanlon and that will be installed in the next few days. I also decided to do a few other upgrades in this area, I'll be installing a maximum motorsports quadrant and using their cable they sell as well, I also bought a firewall adjuster for the cable.

6/07/2010 - Valve cover gaskets
Ever since I assembled this motor I've had an annoying oil leak at the valve covers. It turns out that my ford parts guy I've been going to sent me out the wrong bolts/grommets for my heads. He sent me romeo head valve cover bolts and I have no idea what grommets he sent me because they don't look like anything that goes on either a Romeo or Windsor head that I've seen. When I installed the valve covers and was torqueing down the bolts the bolts nearest to the firewall were tight but they didn't feel right, I didn't have time to screw around with them so I just left them be and the result was a tiny trip of oil onto my mid-pipe cuasing the bay to smoke and fill the cabin of the car with burnt oil any time I drove it. Not anymore! I was having a hard time justifying purchasing the correct bolts from ford @ $120+ for an entire set so I started searching for valve covers on ebay and craigslist that came bolts hoping to find a used set. I actually found 2 drivers side valve covers for a windsor head brand new with all the bolts for about $15/ea so I snagged them up and I just needed to buy 1 extra bolt from Ford since it only came with 13 bolts in each cover. I snapped some shots of the valve covers off, oh careful with the A/C line right above the passenger side, I accidently disconnected it (dont' ask) and sprayed freon right in my eyes causing me to spend a few hours at the ER getting them flushed!

5/25/2010 - Removed transmission
Today my friend and I pulled my transmission to send it off to Hanlon Motorsports to be built and to install a new clutch. The transmission was actually in great shape, no problems but I wanted it to be beefed up a little since I'm putting in a better clutch. I went with the Ram powergrip which claims it can hold 550 hp, hopefully it holds up!
